Adventure on Snowshoes
3 days, two nights, through March, conditions permitting

• Unlimited use of snowshoes, easily adjusted to your boots, plus poles.
• If needed, Snowshoeing 101. (Before you leave home, we’ll send you some useful video links on what to pack and what to expect.)
• Items for your fanny pack or ours:  bottled water, tissues, trail snack, lip balm, etc.
• Map and directions to some beautiful walks
• After the expedition, hot cocoa and homemade cookies or tea service by the fire (indoors or out)
• $50 worth of dining certificates to used at your choice of some of our favorite local restaurants
• 24-hour cancellation with full refund, at your option, if weather conditions are unfavorable for snowshoeing.

Adventure in Mudd
3 days, 2 nights, through May 15

You know that romantic scene in “Ghost” with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze at the pottery wheel? Now you know why we teamed up with Red Mudd Studio to offer this adventure. Imagine the possibilities.

Package includes:

• An afternoon of hands-on pottery-making with Deborah Bassett-Maxwell, whose studio overlooks a lovely pond in a rural setting. Use the wheel and other potter’s tools to craft your own creations. Along the way, learn to identify some of the most frequently used glazing and firing techniques – useful information next time you’re at an art fair.
• Your morning fruit course at Adventure Inn will be served in bowls hand-made by Deborah Bassett-Maxwell and will be yours to take home.

Swan Patrol
3 days, 2 nights, Sunday through Thursdays only, in March

Flying in large formations, tundra swans often fly right over the house on their spring migration to the Arctic. Bundle up and witness the majesty of these beautiful white birds from the comfort of our Adirondack chairs and during a side-trip to Ontario. Bring your passport and camera.

• If you don’t have one, use of a GPS unit pre-loaded with coordinates of caches hidden in our immediate area or anywhere else you’d like to venture – from hidden history on the sidewalks of Port Huron, to clever “hides” near walking trails, to the very spot where human rights defender Tom Hayden drafted the Port Huron Statement, handbook for generations of student activists
• Instruction, if needed, in using GPS
• Free enrollment at geocaching.com so you can record finds (optional)
• Snacks, maps, water and other essentials for the journey, including “treasures” to leave in the caches you find
• Cheese tray and choice of beverage upon your return

Lake Huron Babymoon Adventure
3 days, 2 nights, anytime

This package is for parents-to-be. Sometime before it’s time for midnight feedings, they want time to relax, reconnect and dream about the little one on the way.

At Adventure Inn, she’ll be only one hour from Detroit or Flint and two hours from Lansing, and yet our tranquil Lake Huron location will seem like a world away from the cares and decisions of work and domestic life.

Prospective adoptive parents also qualify.
